Brenden Clarke

Brenden Clarke joined the Centre as a Mitacs Accelerate research Intern in 2022 before being contracted as a Research Assistant in early 2023. He is also a part-time Lab Instructor in the Biosciences program here at Loyalist College.

At the Centre, Brenden is largely responsible for the operations of the Terra Plant project. Aside from this, he actively lends a hand to anyone and any project. With diverse research interests across fields of study and industry, Brenden is eager to contribute to a more sustainable future in any way he can.

Brenden was introduced to the Centre through his participation in the Cannabis Applied Sciences (CSGS) graduate certificate program, which he completed while working full-time at HEXO Corp. [Tilray]. With his previous employer, he learned the ins-and-outs of cannabis extraction, dried processing/packaging, and quality/compliance. He attended Queen’s University for his undergraduate degree, where he completed a bachelor’s in science (Major in Chemistry, Minor in Biology) and a certificate in business (CIB) with the Smith School of Business.
